OK, so yesterday I posted my first G-Wing LIVE vlog (along with Ang), and today I wake up to find out ITV has axed Bad Girls after 8 series. FUCKERS! I can’t describe my anger and extreme sadness over this.

This show has been my obsession for the last 6 years of my life (I came in late to the party), and although I’m thankful there were 8 series of the show, I’m disappointed with the fact I won’t get to see Lou’s character develop, and see Pat lusting after her (which HELLO! was TOTALLY going to happen!), I’m also dissapointed with the fact that SHED decided not to have an OLC this series.. I mean, whilst the show doesn’t revolve around lesbians 24/7, it does play a MAJOR part in the show, HELL, IMO the OLC’s made the show.. it *is* a women’s prison drama after all.

*sigh*

I may go and huddle in the corner now. I’m thinking maybe I’ll do an impromtu G-Wing LIVE vlog about this.. if any of you guys are up for this too PLEASE PLEASE send your vlog to cath@g-wing.org, and I’ll up it to G-W’s youtube.

Also, just because the shows ended doesn’t mean I’m going to close the site. That’s not going to happen. G-W will be here for a long while yet.

So, Series 8 is off to a thrilling start if I do say so myself. It’s good to see a few familiar faces and also some new ones. I’m already in love with Lou Stoke and am eagerly awaiting storylines heavily involving her. I can also see some potential for Lou/Pat now that it seems Sheena is out of the way.

It was so sad to see the demise of Neil. That was something I didn’t expect to happen, but at least he went with some wise ass cracks to Joy’s face.

The only thing that disappoints me is when characters go “missing” without explanation. This series there’s three:

- Sheena
- Arun
- Di

I’m more overly disappointed with the last, I really wanted to see Di break completely in prison. She’s been my favourite ever since the departures of Helen, Nikki, Yvonne & Karen. *sigh* Why is it always the good ones that go?

Down The Block has a new layout! Of course, being me I’ve stuck with the OTP like superglue on a 5 year olds hand.
A bunch of old icons have been deleted and replaced with new icons. *gasp*

But, hey at least it’s finally been updated (with 33 new icons no less).
